Some may ask the reason for the change. We are building off the successful registration opening of the PebbleCreek tournament and how they were able to handle lots of registrations in a short time, efficiently handle player email questions, communicate real-time information to the tournament team to make decisions and send email confirmations to all players within hours not weeks. This change is being made to help everyone plan better to provide the best tournament.

The following is from Allen Gilson, who, along with Becky Pfeiler and Sue Bryant, is organizing this program this season. Perhaps you have friends or neighbors who aren’t quite ready for regular Pickleball but might enjoy the game when played at a slower pace, with others with various limitations. This might be for them.
“Modified Pickleball is for those with physical limitations, and those wanting a low-intensity/less-competitive game. This event is for those who want to play for fun, or perhaps you’ve had surgery recently or have some aches and pains and would like to become physically active again. Rules of the game will be modified to compensate for whatever limitations there may be. If you can stand you can play. Courts № 5&6 are reserved at the Marinette Recreation Center on Tuesdays from 10-11a.m. and Wednesdays from 2-3p.m. Check the calendar for exceptions for holidays and tournaments.”
The Colors Tournament yesterday at Marinette went well, and everyone seemed to have a great time. Thanks to all our Volunteers and especially to Richard and Barbara Heywood for taking this over for us this year, and to Marcia Gregory, who organized the first one several years ago, for her guidance.
