Good afternoon Sun City Pickleball Club Members this Thursday, May 27, 2021,
WOW . . . yep, that’s the first expression that comes to my mind as I recall the number of Club Members who showed up at Marinette yesterday for our first Club event – our Wednesday morning Round Robin! It would definitely seem that our Club Members are ready to GO! Pickleball is alive and well in Sun City!!! Thank you to all who showed up and participated in this first event . . . and, thank you to all the many other Club Members for your understanding and patience as we “scrambled” to use all courts efficiently during those early hours – and, I mean ALL the courts! Great and Bravo to our Club for demonstrating once again the popularity and continued interest in this wonderful sport of pickleball . . . our Pickleball Club Member numbers are on the increase – growing, it seems, daily! We welcomed several new Members even yesterday! The Round Robin is scheduled to take place each Wednesday at 7 a.m., however, there will be a max number of participants in this event – with summer vacations, trips, etc., all should be fine. And, thank you to Evelyn Larsen and her round robin team for helping coordinate court play considering all that was going on! Another Bravo indeed!!
Related to how well our Pickleball Club is growing and our Club Members wanting to participate more and more – at the next RCSC Board meeting on Monday, June 14, 9 a.m. at Sun Dial, the latest plans for the Mountain View Rec Center renovation project will be revealed. As a “pickleball person”, you may want to put that date on your calendar . . . some important details concerning the Mountain View pickleball courts are in those plans/discussions.
