Meeting
Thanks to all our club members who took the time to attend the special meeting yesterday evening at the Mt. View. At that meeting our club membership voted in favor of accepting an offer from the RCSC to start the process of building pickleball courts at the Lake View Rec Center. The total number of courts to be built is yet to be determined. There is the possibility of anywhere from 8 to 14 courts being built to replace the current tennis courts. As the process moves forward and a general contractor specializing in pickleball courts is hired the exact number of courts will be decided.
The courts to be built will be permanent, official courts with permanent lines and nets. A shaded sitting area is also part of the plan.
These courts, when built, will be available for play before any work begins at the Mt. View Rec Center.
Thanks to Lis Smoot for doing another set of rating clinics. You will need to sign up for these clinics on our web page. There will be two options. Both offered on Saturday, March 19th at the Marinette. The times are at 2 pm or 3:30 pm.
It was brought to my attention recently (I did not know this) that used and broken pickleballs are NOT recyclable. Please do not deposit them in the blue recycle barrels.
Great weather, hope you are all getting out and playing.
