Good Sunday Afternoon Sun City Pickleball Club Members – a Palindrome Date – 02/02/2020 – (front or back = same date) fascinating …first time in 900 years . . . amazing!

Well, what a great month of Pickleball Club Events and Tournaments! The SSIPA of this past week was a super success . . . sure hope you enjoyed reading the daily summaries as much as I did. Congratulations to every Member of our Club who participated as players and volunteers . . . wow . . . so good! I hope you heard all the very positive comments visitors to our facility were sharing . . . so nice! Keep up the good work!
Our SPRING SLAM will be the Club’s next tournament – March 6 7 8 …. more info soon.

February Schedule:

Friday – Feb 7 – this week – 10 am to 1 pm – the Club Rodeo/Skills Event and Lunch – Marinette – Sign Up Link is on our Club Website – come on out and have some fun – there are still a few slots left!

Sunday – Feb 9 – Sun City/Sun City West Reciprocal – 1 pm – Marinette – a few Team Slots available – our Club is undefeated this year!! FANtastic!

Tuesday – Feb 11 – Fun Day – 4 to 7 pm – Mountain View – play some social pickleball, meet new friends, bring a snack and share some conversation while enjoying those snacks!

Tuesday – Feb 18 – Our Annual In House Club Tournament/Lunch – 11 am to 3 pm – Marinette – The format for this event is a Round Robin of 8 players selected by skill levels. You will play in various combinations with players within your group. Games of 11 win by one with total points and the number of wins each player accumulates to determine the winner from each group.

There will be prizes given to the top place finishers in each group and a lunch will be provided after play has ended.

The maximum number of players is 80 so look for the Sign Up Link on our Club Website and get signed up asap.

This is another fun event with some friendly competition with players of your own skill level . . . the various combinations of players within your group provides some very interesting, equal opportunities to score points and wins – every game provides the possibility of new results . . . fun!

The Sign Up Link is to the right on our Club Home Page – I anticipate the Link will be available this evening – Super Bowl Sunday!!

Friday Night Socials – each Friday Night 5 pm – Marinette – play pickleball and socialize to around 6:30 followed by a plan for some dinner. Various options on what is happening – for more info – contact Terry/Murray Griffin

Some Additional Notes:

The Club Board is trying to record the total number of Members playing on our Pickleball Courts each day during Club Time. This is something we are interested in documenting for our own Club information. We know it is a huge number but we would like to get an actual, total number – The sheets to sign in on will be at Mountain View and Marinette each day starting sometime tomorrow. Please look for them – sign in with your last name and RCSC # – if you bring in a guest, we are asking you to list their first and last name. Thank you for helping us document this.

If you happen to have a paddle you may not use again or would simple like to donate – our Club would like to have a variety of paddles available for new Members to try and use during lessons/clinics/open play before they make their own individual new paddle purchase. Give them to Lis Smoot, Dan Haberman or me. Thank you.

Please collect the pickleballs and put them in the coolers after finishing play. In fact, if you happen to be one of the first or last players on the courts at Marinette, please bring out a cooler or return the cooler to the pavilion. Thanks (from the pickleballs)!
