Our long awaited Roundup Tournament takes place this Tuesday through Thursday at Marinette. All 20 courts will be in use for most of those days, so please plan your week’s play accordingly. Courts 1-12 may also be closed during the evenings so the vendors can leave their wares in a secure environment. Parking will be restricted, as it has been for several years. Please plan on parking in the streets nearby or in the areas allocated to us in the Marinette lots.
The expansion joints at Marinette are due to be repaired the first week of November. As of now, the work is scheduled for Nov 5th through 7th. Courts 1 – 12 will be closed while this work proceeds. Updates on this as we get closer. All Club events will need to be cancelled for whatever days are chosen.
The Color Tournament will take place on November 11 at 2 at Marinette. The other afternoon Club functions will need to be cancelled. After that, we’ll hopefully have clear sailing other than Holiday interruptions! Tournament details are available on our website, as is the link to Signup Genius.
Registration is now available for the Volunteer Luncheon taking place November 16. If you volunteered for anything this year – not just the major tournaments – you are eligible to attend. Lunch will be catered by Sardellas, which also caters our Christmas Party. Please sign up mentioning one function at which you volunteered, and mention any dietary restrictions.
In addition to the slate of officers put forward by the Nominating Committee, there were three others nominated at the meeting: President – Dave Breault; Membership Chair – Jeff Skaggs and Publicity Chair – Lynda Skaggs. Two others have expressed interest in being nominated at the December meeting; Treasurer – Rita Gregory and Membership Chair – Cindy Golden.
Rich Peterson has volunteered to head the Facilities Committee suggested at the meeting. We need two or three volunteers to work with Rich on this.
