Beginning late this week Franklin balls will once again be supplied by the Club. While not perfect, this seems to be the ball that will give the Club the best service for its money for the foreseeable future. Balls will be placed in the racks and coolers. They will not be handed out to anyone for any reason. They are purchased by the Club for use on Sun City courts ONLY. There is no reason for any of them to be in anyone’s bag or backpack!.
Our Club Tournament is this Friday, March 1. Marinette courts 1-16 will be in use for the tournament from 9-noon. Please schedule your play accordingly. Courts 17-20 will be available all day for Drop-In play, and regular court usage will resume approximately at noon.

Bill Booth has provided us with a QR code to access the Club’s daily schedule:
A QR code for the Court Schedule has been placed on the Marinette bulletin board and on one of the tables in the breezeway between courts 13-16 and 17-20.
When you use a barcode scanner or QR code reader on your smartphone to scan the QR code, you will automatically get a clickable link to the court schedule for the current day’s events at Marinette. After the site is in your browser, it can be helpful to save it as a bookmark in the browser of your smartphone.
The Sun City vs Sun City West Reciprocal was a tight competition yesterday, but we managed to pull it out by winning 50 games to 48 games! This was the fifth competition out of six and as it stands now, Sun City leads the series 3-2. The social gathering and snacks on the patio were enjoyed by all. Thank you to everyone who competed and bringing their “A” game! Special thank you to the scorekeepers: Sam Conway, Frank Spina and Terri Smiley who rushed over to help after winning the Gold Medal with Jan Hodgson at the Grand Canyon State Games Tournament!
We look forward to next month’s and last competition of the season at Sun City West Liberty Courts on March 17th, please sign up as the slots fill quickly!

A reminder from RCSC that NO outside flyers are to be displayed at our courts without prior RCSC approval. There was at least one flyer around during the SSIPA tournament that had not been approved. While it was an innocent enough flyer, (it had to do w Pickleball in Jamaica) it must not happen again.
The key to access the Lobster machine from our closet is now back at the desk at Marinette. Please ask POLITELY for the key, bearing in mind that there may be others at the desk who also need the FA’s attention. You may be required to show ID, will sign a log and leave your keys and or RCSC card at the desk. The remote for the machine will also be at the desk and must be returned, along with the key, for you to be signed out.

The Reich family has thoughtfully shared the following with us with the stipulation that it is not to be posted on Facebook. Thank you for honoring their request.
Ann R. Reich (1940-2019)
To Ann’s friends in Sun City, AZ;
Denise A. Schlafer, Lisa __ Conway (daughters), and Christopher R. Reich (son) wish to inform you that Ann passed on February 9, 2019 surrounded by her family. Ann was a remarkable, intelligent woman and the bravest person we had the privilege to call Mom. She loved Lynn M. Reich; “the love of her life” and us children with all of her heart.
In 2016, Ann courageously moved from Florida to Arizona with her dog Dakota and tried a little bit of everything. However, she played pickleball and golfed whenever she could.
We (Denise, Lisa and Christopher) thank all for the thoughts, prayers and selfless acts of kindness in the last two months….
