Allow me to introduce you to our new Leader of the Women’s League, Lynda Skaggs. She has graciously offered to take over for Phil Arinno in coordinating the ladies play league starting later this year.
Phil, Thank You very much for managing the women’s league up to now.
Here is the information about getting the league started and sign ups. Please note the important meeting on October 25th below.

The first 80 people to sign up online will be playing in the tournament (additional signup slots are available in case of last-minute cancellations)
This is a round robin format made of 4 teams of 20, Each team will be wearing either Red, Blue, White, or Green. You will be notified by the team captain what team you will be playing on. This is for all skill levels and we will try to get you into your level, so when you sign up please let us know if you are beginner, intermediate or advanced.

We also need volunteers for team captains, score sheet retrieval after each round, time keepers, and help setting up the food.

Sun City Pickleball Club president Steve Oaks recently provided an update on the lighting situation for the eight-court indoor pavilion at Marinette Recreation Center. He spoke with club member, Rich Peterson, who is on the Long Range Planning Committee of the Recreation Centers of Sun City. An upgraded lighting system has been approved by RCSC and is in the 2019 budget. Also, awnings have been approved for along the top of the fences of the pavilion, to block unwanted sun (and likely deter birds from entering the pavilion). Steve Oaks and Rich Peterson worked with specialists concerning bids for upgraded lights and awnings. They presented the information to RCSC assistant general manager Chris Herring.
